Gault Millau 2014 - Best Halenberg -R- ever

Praise indeed in the latest edition of the Gault Millau wine guide: "Emrich-Schönleber is the best winery on the Nahe [...] The estate's wines shine bright every year [...] and do so in their own inimitable fashion, showing exceptional delicacy and finesse, with contemplative, deep minerality."

Scoring 94 points, our 2012 Eiswein (ice wine) was again deemed to be one of the best 10 noble-sweet Rieslings. Our Halenberg Grosses Gewächs (grand cru) continues to be regarded as one of Germany's six "blue chip" dry Rieslings. However, for the first-ever time, our Halenberg -R- even scored little better than that, attaining 93 points. This wine will be released for sale in May 2014.
