Since 1991 listed in the "DM" list of the 100 best German wineries with the remark: "Werner Schoenleber established himself amongst the best with his brilliant Riesling wines."

For the outstanding results at the "Landes-Weinprämierung" 2002, our estate (with the best average points amongst the Nahe) was again awarded the "Staatsehrenpreis" (State-Honour-Prize). As it was the 10th for us, we received the golden one.

In the biennial competitions for the "Deutscher Rieslingerzeuger-Preis" of "Pro Riesling e.V." and "VINUM“ - with more than 1000 wines entered - the selection from our cellar has always been in the final rounds. We were three times among the top 20 German estates, have twice won the third and each once fourth, fifth and ninth prize. A good proof of our constant high quality standard.

In the annual competition to determine the best German dry wine, the "Deutscher Riesling-Preis", we were in second place in 2003, in 1993, 1994 and 1998 in third each time.

2002 third place in the international Riesling competition "Best of Riesling"

Several times best Nahe-Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) (Kammerwein des Jahres).

"Wine Producer of the Year in the Nahe region" 1996 and 2002 in the magazine "Alles über Wein" and nominated for the title of "Wine producer of the Year 2000" by "Der Feinschmecker" and "Wein Gourmet"

The wine guide of "Der Feinschmecker" gives us four and a half "F"s out of 5, commenting: "Werner Schoenleber is one of the few top wineries, which are capable of producing excellent quality wines every year."

So far the greatest acknowledgement for our winery came from "Gault-Millau" Wine guide 2004:
Our 2002 Halenberg Riesling Eiswein -Goldkapsel- was given the highest possible points of 100, our 2002 vintage selected as the “Collection of the Year”, and in the winery ranking we are upgraded to the tiny group of 8 German top wineries with 5 grapes (“world-class”) - simply overwhelming! One of the comments said: “No matter whether it is a dry Riesling or Eiswein, Schoenleber’s wines are fully convincing in their whole bandwidth. He has successfully placed his wines among the best ten wines from Germany in five out of seven categories.”
